This is the John Muir website for Balboa Park. Our whole school has went to Balboa Park and each grade from 7th to 12th had to ask questions and learn more about Balboa.

Here is what each grade had to do in order to show how much we learnd about Balboa. Each grade had to find out the answers to these questions.

7th Grade: Who are the people who founded this place?, Why did they do it?, Who continues to maintain it and who are they now.

8th Grade: When did this place begin?, What were the goals then and now?, What does this place offer to the public?, How many people are involved in keeping this place going?, and how many vistors visit?

9th Grade: What are the significant features of this site? both over time and within place/location?

10th Grade: What does this site "look like?", Who decides how to create the visual impact of the site? and how do they do that?, How do the aesthetics of the site communicate the goals of the site (museum,garden, or whatever)?

11th Grade: Who are the people behind this site?, Why do they do what they do?, and What is their visions?

12th Grade: What is the relationship between the site and the public?, The site and the park?, What areas overlap in maintaining the site and the part in terms of use, safety, maintenance, and funding? Who makes the decisions about what events are held?, What exhibits are displayed?, and How volunteers are selected and trained?
