Behind the Scenes of the San Diego Zoo  Grade:11

The employee first became involved by being a lemur keeper. She worked in the San Diego Zoo for 32 years. In the zoo she also does special tours, and takes care of other animals. Her favorite area/collection of the zoo was the meerkats and Lemurs. In the zoo lots of teamwork is used to run this huge place. In mounting a special exhibit or event, it takes a vision, the know how, expertise, & money. The San Diego Zoo is an important to San Diegans and other visitors because, it helped other businesses like restaurants, gasoline stations, and taxis, basically it helps the economy.
