Muir School's theme this year is civic duty. Muir students looked at what people can do to make a positive difference in the classroom, at school, in the community, and in the world. Muir's entry to GlobalSchoolnet this year is in Category 1, Local Leaders.

Globalization and Interdependence

On September 21, 2010, at John Muir School we had a schoolwide International Day of Peace March. All of the kids from grades K-12,marched around the school showing off what they have made for this day. Every year there are always a few students that carry our big white dove that they have in the march every year. The elementary kids made pinwheels, doves, flags, and even posters.

It is always alot of fun during the Peace March! The secondary kids make flags that carry around during the march. The teachers even march too! John Muir School is a K-12 magnet school. If you apply to this school, you could even be in the Peace March too!
