San Diego River
Four hundred and forty square miles drain into the San Diego River . There are five reservoirs in the San Diego River that supply water to around 760,000 residents. The San Diego river is home to multiple endangered species including the Arroyo Toad and the Southwestern Pond Turtle. The San Diego River flows into the Pacific Ocean in the community of Ocean beach. The San Diego River is fifty-two miles long. Non-native plants that are imported pose threats to the environment because they overcome the plants the animals have come to rely on. Kayaking and fishing are allowed on the San Diego River . In the summer the San Diego River 's water disappears and flows underground. It provides five percent of the water that we use to survive. During winter the river floods surrounding malls and roads. Life by Rivers
So many different cultures have roots somewhere by a life-giving water source. Life by a river is preferable to any other landscape besides an ocean, the ultimate water source. Even though river life is easier than desert or even mountain summit life, it still has its hardships, such as fishing for food, cleansing the water, and fighting off water borne diseases, illness and blood-sucking insects.
Religion isn't untouched by the mjesty of the great rivers of the world. There are those who cleanse themselves with the water of a certain river, believing that it carries some holy significance. And there are those who cleanse themselves with the water of a certain river, believing that it carries some holy significance. And there are those that praise rivers for simply providing basic life essentials to the people of that specific culture.

The Colorado River now goes to the San Diego River instead of the Imperial Valley River . The San Diego River was about 440 square miles. Just like every place there is a lot of water being used everyday in San Diego . San Diego County has a semi-arid climate and a very small supply of local water. Back in the ancient times it was very hard for people to get water. They had to come back and forth just to get enough water to last them for at least one to two days. But for some people they lived right next to a pond or a water pump. Water was very important in the ancient world but for some it was really easy. For peple who lived by the water all they had todo is walk down to get as much water as they needed then come back whenever they needed without walking one half to two miles. But at the same time it's bad because if it rained they would have to watch out for floods and dirt slides.

Lake Miramar is conveniently located about 18 miles north of the city of San Diego . The lake is also open seven days a week, many recreational activities can be enjoyed at the lake such as fishing, walking, bicycling or just jogging. There is a path going completely around the lake that is about five miles long. The lake is home to fish such as largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and sunfish. At the lake it is possible to rent rowboats, motorboats, and canoes.

Seas and oceans aren't wetlands. A wetland is an area of land covered by a shallow body of water. Some wetlands are formed by rainfall. Swamps, bays, and marshes, and fens are typs of wetlands. Africa has more wetlands than any other continent.
Many animals live in wetlands. Some carp live up to forty years. The Brazilian tapir is an endangered wetland animal. Hippos sweat pink goo to stay cool.
