Four Futures of San Diego's Water

POSSIBLE FUTURE : If we change as a nation and conserve water, a few things that might happen by 2020 is that there might be less starvation in the world, because water can be used to grow crops. There would be more water in our rivers, lakes, and oceans. I feel that we would be a “greener” nation. A happier nation. (Aliyah, Gr. 8)

If we continue not to conserve water like this, in 2020 we may be desperate for any source or water. We constantly continue to waste water daily and we aren't even aware of it. For example, instead of watering our lawns everyday we should water them every other day of the week. Eleven years from now we can have a different future. This situation can become better or worse. It's completely up to us to fix this problem! Think of it this way, if we start conserving water out water bills will drop and you'll be saving water and money. (Roya, gr. 8)

Responsibility

As students and as members of this state of California, we are responsible to save water and recycle bottles. We are also responsible to go to shcool and do well in school. We have to be responsible to keep the world clean and to be educated to solve the world's problems.

In California we are facing the most significant water crisis in history. We are experiencing two years of drought and dryness. Our water reserves are extremely low in California. Why? We wasted a lot of water by using more than we have. We need to take shorter showers, turn off the faucets when brushing our teeth, and fix leaks at home. Maria A.
