Samoa, by Niualama, gr. 6
My family came from Western Samoa and American Samoa. My grandpa came from American Samoa from the island Ofu. My grandma came from Western Samoa. my grandpa came to America on a plane and he worked at Teledyn Ryan. My grandma came on a airplane and worked at the cleaners. When it was back then, my ancestors were doing there things ,it was really hard. They did a lot of hard work. They had to travel a lot and hike a lot also. Samoans eat lots of fish, chicken, taro, fai and pork. My great grandpa’s first cousin was the king of Samoa. My family is all Christian and we celebrate, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. My City
I live in San Diego. In my city there are restaurants from every race and ethnicity, from Mexican to Hawaiian. The restaurant I like to eat at is Super Sergio's. The reason I like it so much is because they great burritos and fast service.
All my grandparents are from Samoa and either migrated through the army our by themselves to lead their own life. Their first language was Samoan and when they arrived in America they learned English and you can't even tell they speak another language. I am full Samoan, there isn't a lot of Samoans in San Diego but there is a lot of Samoans in long beach.
The church I go to is Horizon Park Chapel there is a very diverse amount of people that attend this church. Just recently San Diego had a big fire disaster, and my youth group went to go help the victims of this unfortunate event.
So this is my little slice of San Diego hope to hear from all of you about what your city or town is like. By Liualii, Gr. 10
