Dear President Bush,
Would you please consider taking our soldiers out of Iraq and not sending anymore there?  People who have family who are fighting there are worried and cant stop thinking about their boyfriends,
girlfriends, mothers, fathers, or sisters or brothers, granddaughters or grandsons, aunts and uncles, etcetera. They dont know if they are going to live or die.  They are really worried all the time.  They are
praying that their loved ones wont die. If they die, they have to buy candles and pray to God that they are okay over there in heaven or in hell.  I know a friend who went to Iraq, and the family was praying a lot for him that he would have to come back soon.

I think that we are fighting in Iraq so that we can help the Iraqi people get money for food and medicine and to help rebuild their country.  They are having a war and soldiers in the army are getting killed.

Thank you for reading this letter.  Please dont send any more armies to Iraq, if there is another choice.  You could send people to talk to the Iraqis and try to solve the problems by building new buildings and bringing food and medicine.  Then there wouldnt have to be any killing- soldiers or civilians.

Sincerely,
Daniel, Gr. 8
Dear Protesters,
We should keep the soldiers in Iraq. Because we should keep peace for the Iraqis. Also stop the car bombings and stop the kidnappings. People should have freedom in other countries too. Also they are people who want the troops out have Iraq I can understand that but the people in Iraq need a sense of safety when theyre outside. Also good
reasons are:

Who will help protect the people the people in Iraq?
 Who will stop Al Queda?
Who will train the Iraqi military?

Also the money issue-- I can understand that President Bush is wasting money on the war in Iraq. And we should keep the money coming because we should think about the children of Iraqi city who need schools too.

Sincerely,
Darryl, Gr. 8
Dear Mr. Bush,
I think the war in Iraq should have ended a long time ago. Theres no reason to send out young men & women to their deaths just for oil. Isnt there some other way to get it? The US has spent billions of dollars on this war. Instead of wasting it on this war we could have put all that money into schools and hospitals.
My second point is that the Iraqis dont even want our  help every time our troops go to deliver food & stuff they get ambushed by the very people were helping. Even if we are making it up to them for all the people we killed, they still dont want our help. They should just be left alone, if they dont want help, fine leave them. They are fine by themselves.

I will not take part of these elections. How can we have elections when the occupation forces have their boots over our necks? What kind of election will it be when most Iraqis are not participating? This is just an American plot to hand the government to their agents and say: 'This is your government'. Iraq will be like Iran and civil war will take place. These elections are a big joke. I feel ashamed of all those Iraqis deceived by the American propaganda.  These are the words of Mahmoud al Rassum ,25. fish seller. This is the thanks we get for helping them out.

You may say we need the oil but what can you do or say to parents who have lost their children because of the oil. Id laugh if you were to give that kind of explanation to their families.

Sincerely,
