Snakes
Snakes have a long,legless,flexible body that is covered with dry scales. When snakes move about on land they usually slide on their belly. Snake’s eyes are covered by clear scales rather than movable eyelids; therefore, their eyes are always open. Alisah11 T he Western rattlesnake can reach lengths slightly over 4 feet but 1/2 feet is more than norm The rattlesnakes mostly live across the Western United States like Mexico and Canada. The South Pacific rattlesnake is distributed from California to the central part of Baja California. In the early spring, the western rattlesnake basks in the sun or glides around as it looks for food and a mate.

Gabe10 The western rattlesnake can be four feet but are usually 2.5 feet. This snake is gray and brown some are even yellow. a stripe runs along the outside corner of its eye. The tail has dark rings on it. The snake is mainly in the western United States and part of Mexico and Canada. This animal is found in wooded mountains and the coast and the desert. The western rattle snake eats small mammals birds amphibians and reptiles. a female produces four to twelve snakes at one time during late summer. In the spring the snake sits in the sun or moves around looking for food and mates. If they are in the woods and no sun reaches the floor the snakes will climb up the bushes to the top where they can bake in the sunlight. During the year as the weather becomes warmer the snakes start to come out at dusk or at night.
