- The Arboreal salamander its not anendangered species, not yet. The adults reach up to 4 inches long. Its plain bro wn, and some of these salamanders have yellow spots. It has squarish finger tips and a tail that curls up.
- The Arboreal salamander's range is from Humbolt country in northern California, southward along the coastal mountains, reaching northwestern Baja California.It is found in areas of thick chaparral, coastal oak forest, and wooded, riparian canyons.
- During the day, these salamanders remain hidden in moist microhabitats. They are inactive during the summer months and usually retreat into tree cavities.
