Do you know finding out more about plant growth could mean ending world hunger? Well it can, there are several countries in the world who do not have enough food to survive. Countries that are in need of the most food are the ones that are still developing or are not developed yet. These countries are located in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Pacific. The countries located in these countries barely even have the most essential things for living such as water and shelter.

It is not that we don't have enough food for everyone, its just that its too expensive and hard to get too in some peoples and countries cases. Growing food can be a hardship on them just because they do not have the time or soil for growing. In order to grow a plant you must have the right soil and you must have water. These people who are lacking food in these under privileged countries walk for miles just to get water. They maybe would not want to waste any on their water for plants to grow if they think that nothing will grow.

Finding out plant growth speed can help them put faith in their soil and hopefully plant food for themselves and their family. Just think if you or me were to figure out what can make a plant grow faster and possibly bigger it could stop malnutrition and even poverty. Do you know that there were 925 million people in the world that were under malnutrition in 2010? Nearly all the undernourished people in the world are from developing countries. Children suffer the worse when it comes to under nutrition, they have the weakest immune system and 10 million young children die each year because of it.

Simply growing vegetables can stop malnutrition, in all vegetables there is nutrition that every human being needs. One of the main reasons there is World Hunger is due to poverty in the world. Poverty includes lack of resources and extremely low income. World hunger is also the cause of Poverty. By causing poor health from lack of nutrition, low levels of energy, and even mental impairment, hunger can lead to even greater poverty by reducing people's ability to work and learn.

When people lose the ability to work and learn then they don't gain enough money to support themselves and their family. Once they lose money for their family then they rely on making food for themselves which means planting. In some areas of the world there are losses of food from natural disasters such as floods, droughts and infestations. One of the reasons developed countries are not at a high risk of hunger is because most developed countries soil and climate are well suited for agriculture. A big reason why many countries suffer from hunger is because there population is always increasing.

When there is an increase of population, there is a larger demand for food. Once there is a larger demand for food their country must spend more money on obtaining food. Some countries spend money to gain more food for their people but the food is always at a higher cost. While other countries wont spend the money for their people thinking that they can get food for themselves.

Animals also need plants in order to recieve the proper amount of nitrogen to survive, plants make the amino acids which contains the nitrogen. Animals then eat the plants thus taking their nitrogen.

 

Is it even possible for plants to grow faster then they usually do? I hope there is a way. There are many theories on how to increase a plants growth such as singing to it and even no sunlight. I am currently testing out Chemical Fertilizer vs Organic Fertilizer. I believe that the Chemical fertilizer will a greater impact on the plant just because its synthetically prepared to have the nutrients a plant needs. While Organic is mainly dead plants or dead animals. The reason that Organic Fertilizer has dead plants or animals in it is because plants and animals contain a high amount of oxygen, phosphorous and potassium.

Chemical fertilizer also lacks essential plant growth things as well. It kills the microorganisms in the soil while the Organic fertilizer boosts the microbial in the soil. Organic fertilizer is one of the best types of fertilizer for the environment and you can find Organic fertilizer easily in nature. While Chemical fertilizer seeps into the ground after it is used and goes into water and thus the water carries it to a nearby lake or river then causing pollution. Price is another issue in using these fertilizers. Organic is easy for companies to make and distribute while Chemical is more expensive since their is a lot of research put into them.

Chemical fertilizer is good in cases if your soil is rich in nitrogen and potassium. It also has a better NPK ratio( nitrogen, phosphorous potassium) so it will also start the growing process faster. Organic Fertilizer has 55% less NPK, so it will be a shorter growth rate.

I think that the Organic Fertilizer will have a better effect on the pea plants health, but the chemical fertilizer will have a faster growth rate. Organic has the most nutrients, so it seems to me that the plant will grow to be very healthy. Chemical fertilizer is going to be faster growth since their is more nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium in the fertilizer. Sometimes Chemical fertilizer can stunt a plants growth by giving it to much nutrients it can handle. While Organic fertilizer slowly gives the plant nutrients.
